How to play Nonogram

  1. Read the number clues for every row and column.
  2. Fill cells that must belong to a block and cross cells that must stay empty.
  3. Satisfy every clue to reveal the complete pattern.

Rules

  • Each number is the length of one continuous filled block.
  • Separate multiple blocks with at least one empty cell.
  • Crosses help deduction but are not required to finish.
  • Every puzzle has one solution and can be solved without guessing.

Strategy tips

  • Start with large clues and lines with little spare space.
  • Use overlap to find cells shared by every possible placement.
  • Cross the boundary after completing a block.
  • Cross all remaining cells in a completed line.
  • Alternate between rows and columns as new cells become certain.
  • Use only confirmed deductions instead of guessing.
